Hello crafty friends!
I am back with another Sketchy Sunday with fun products from Kat Scrappiness. Today I used the Valentine Quokka stamp set for the focal point of my scene.
Card Details:
- Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5" (A2 size)
- Colored Panel: 4" x 5.25"
Step-by-Step Tutorial:
Step 1:
I started by trimming a piece of Smooth Bright White Kat's Color Studio Premium Cardstock to 4.25" x 5.5" in size. I then stamped the quokka from the Valentine Quokka stamp set on my panel using black ink.
Step 2:
I then sketched in my scene using a pencil. I added a ground line and a couple of pumpkins.
Step 3:
When I was satisfied with my scene, I traced over the lines with a fine line black marker and erased the pencil lines.
Step 4:
It is now time to color our scene. I used Prismacolor colored pencils. Specific colors are below. After I was finished coloring, I trimmed the panel to 4" x 5.25" in size.
- Quokka: Sienna Brown, Mineral Orange, Goldenrod, Jasmine, Black, 90% French Grey, and 70% French Grey
- Grass: Dark Green, Apple Green, and Spring Green
- Pumpkins: Terra Cotta, Pumpkin Orange, Cadmium Orange Hue, Orange, Yellowed Orange, Dark Brown, Light Umber, and Beige Sienna
Step 5:
I added some clouds to the sky using the Scene Builder 6x6 Stencil, a mini blending brush, and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.
Step 6:
For my sentiment, I stamped "Happy Thanksgiving" from the Happy Fall Y'all stamp set using black ink.
To finish the card, I glued my panel to an A2 card base made with Seaglass Kat's Color Studio Premium Cardstock.
