Hello crafty friends!
I am back with another Sketchy Sunday with fun products from Kat Scrappiness. Today I used the Birthday Quokka stamp set for the focal image of my scene.

Card Details:
- Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5" (A2 size)
- Colored Panel: 4" x 5.5"
Step-by-Step Tutorial:
Step 1:
I started by die cutting a piece of Kat's Color Studio Premium Cardstock in Smooth Bright White to 4.25" x 5.5" in size. I then stamped the quokka holding a present from the Birthday Quokka stamp set onto the panel using black ink.

Step 2:
Next, I sketched in my scene using a pencil. I added a tree, some shrubs, and a few extra gifts to complete the birthday party scene.

Step 3:
When I was satisfied with my scene, I traced over the lines with a black fine line marker and erased the pencil lines.

Step 4:
It is now time to color our scene. I used Prismacolor colored pencils. Specific colors are below:
- Quokka: Black, 90% French Grey, 70% French Grey, Sienna Brown, Mineral Orange, Goldenrod, and Jasmine
- Shrubs: Cobalt Turquoise, Peacock Green, and Grass Green
- Tree Trunk: Dark Umber, Dark Brown, and Light Umber
- Tree Leaves and Grass: Dark Green, Apple Green, and Spring Green
- Pinks: Pomegranate, Magenta, and Hot Pink
- Yellows: Yellowed Orange, Sunburst Yellow, and Canary Yellow
- Oranges: Cadmium Orange Hue, Orange, and Yellowed Orange
I then trimmed the panel to 4" x 5.25" in size. I like doing this after I am done coloring to help clean up the edges of the colored panel.

Step 5:
To add some clouds to the sky, I used a mini blending brush, Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and the Scene Builder stencil.

Step 6:
Next, I used the new Chunky Yay Shadow Sentiment die to create my main sentiment. I die cut it from black cardstock and then used a white gel pen to add some highlights for interest.

Step 7:
I glued the Yay! in place on my colored panel and then stamped my sub-sentiment using the Sentiment Sampler stamp set. The stamped sentiment reads "Celebrating you today!"

To finish the card, I glued the whole panel to a white A2 card base.
