Hello crafty friends!
I am back with another Sketchy Sunday with fun products from Kat Scrappiness. Today I used the Pawsome Cats stamp set as the focal image for my scene card.
Card Details:
- Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5" (A2 size)
- Colored Panel: 4" x 5.25"
Step-by-Step Tutorial:
Step 1:
First, I trimmed a piece of white cardstock to 4.25" x 5.5" in size. I then stamped the cat from the Pawsome Cats stamp set on my panel with black ink.
Step 2:
Next, I sketched in my scene using a pencil. I added a rug for the cat to sleep on, as well as a bookshelf and a picture frame for the wall.
Step 3:
When I was satisfied with my scene, I traced over my lines with a black fine line marker and then erased the pencil lines. I also stamped a sentiment in the frame from the Pawsome Cats Sentiments stamp set.
Step 4:
It is now time to color our scene. I used Prismacolor colored pencils. Specific colors are below:
- Cat: 90% French Grey, 70% French Grey, 50% French Grey, 30% French Grey, 20% French Grey, and 10% French Grey
- Frame and Poster: Black, 90% Cool Grey, 70% Cool Grey, 20% Cool Grey, 10% Cool Grey, and White
- Wall: 30% Cool Grey, 20% Cool Grey, 10% Cool Grey, and White
- Baseboard: Black, 90% Cool Grey, and 70% Cool Grey
- Bookshelf: Black, 90% Cool Grey, 70% Cool Grey, and 50% Cool Grey
- Carpet: 30% Cool Grey, 20% Cool Grey, 10% Cool Grey, and White
- Light Green: Apple Green Spring Green, and Chartreuse
- Dark Green: Kelp Green, Olive Green, and Apple Green
- Light Blue: Cerulean Blue, True Blue, and Non-Photo Blue
- Dark Blue: Indanthrone Blue, Denim Blue, and Cerulean Blue
After coloring the panel, I trimmed it to 4" x 5.25" in size.
To finish the card, I glued the colored panel to an A2 card base made using Kat's Color Studio Premium Cardstock in the color Granny Smith.
