Hello crafty friends!
I am back with another Sketchy Sunday with fun products from Kat Scrappiness. Today I used the Sassy Chickens stamp set as my focal point for my card.

Card Details:
- Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5" (A2 size)
- Colored Panel: 4" x 5.25"
Step-by-Step Tutorial:
Step 1:
I started by trimming a piece of white cardstock to 4.25" x 5.5" in size. I then stamped the chicken from the Sassy Chickens stamp set onto the panel using black ink.

Step 2:
Next, I began sketching in my background using a pencil. I wanted this card to look like a farm scene with a coop and more chickens free ranging in the background. I added a few hills and a tree as well.

Step 3:
When I was satisfied with my sketch, I traced over my lines with a fine tip black marker and erased the pencil lines.

Step 4:
It is now time to color the scene. I used Prismacolor colored pencils. Specific colors are below:
- Tree Trunk and Rocks: Dark umber, Dark Brown, and Light Umber
- Tree Leaves: Peacock Green, Grass Green, and True Green
- Grass: Dark Green, Apple Green, and Spring Green
- Dirt: Burnt Ochre, Mineral Orange, and Goldenrod
- Coop: Black, 90% Cool Grey, 70% Cool Grey, Crimson Lake, Crimson Red, Carmine Red, Dark Umber, Dark Brown, and Light Umber
- Chickens: Crimson Lake, Crimson Red, Carmine Red, Pumpkin Orange, Mineral Orange, Goldenrod, 70% French Grey, 50% French Grey, 30% French Grey, and 20% French Grey

Step 5:
Next, I trimmed the panel to 4" x 5.25" and then I used a blending brush and a Kat's Crafty Dabber to create my sky using Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Inks.

Step 6:
To create a sentiment for my card, I stamped "Welcome to the hen party!" in black ink. The sentiment is from the Sassy Chickens set. I then die cut "happy birthday" from white cardstock using the Happy Birthday Shadow Sentiment craft dies. I glued the sentiment on the card panel, centered at the top.

To finish the card, I glued the colored panel to a white A2 card base.
