As the weather cools down, my crafting space is heating up with all things autumn. Thanksgiving will be here before we know it, and today I am thrilled to share a super cozy card that is fresh out of the oven!
If you love holiday baking as much as you love paper crafting, you are going to fall head over heels for the Perfect Pie Maker dies & Perfect Pie Maker Add-On dies.
For this card, I wanted to create that ultimate "warm and fuzzy" autumn feeling. I paper-pieced the pie using a warm, golden-brown cardstock for the crust, shaded the edges for a realistic baked look, and nestled it right into a shiny silver pie tin.
To make the pie the star of the show, I layered it onto a vibrant red plaid background panel from the Positively Plaid Red XL 6x6 double sided cardstock, cut out using the Stitched Label Frame Nesting dies. To finish off the card layout, I added a crisp white banner with a simple "Happy Thanksgiving" sentiment from the Gobble Gobble stamp set and popped a few rustic brown pearl dots in the corners.
The finishing touch? A bit of dark splatter across the cream card base to give the entire project a cozy, rustic, farmhouse feel.
