Welcome! Today I'm sharing a bright and cheerful tropical card featuring several fabulous products from the Kat Scrappiness New Release. I combined the Feathered Friends Stamp & Die Set, Sunburst Stencil, Jungle Frame Die, and Tropical Hibiscus Die to create a sunny scene that's full of tropical charm. Let's get started!

Step-by-Step Tutorial
Step 1 – Gather Your Supplies
Gather all of the products and supplies you'll need before you begin.
Step 2 – Create the Sunny Background
Starting with a white cardstock panel, blend Distress Ink in Squeezed Lemonade over the entire surface. This soft yellow layer creates the perfect warm foundation for the tropical scene.
Step 3 – Add the Sunburst
Place the Sunburst Stencil over the blended panel and lightly blend Distress Ink in Scattered Straw through the stencil. The subtle tone-on-tone rays add warmth and just the right amount of interest without overpowering the design.
Step 4 – Build the Jungle Scene
Die cut the Jungle Frame Background Die from white cardstock.
Next, adhere the frame over the completed sunburst background. The crisp white frame beautifully showcases the sunny backdrop while creating a lush tropical setting for the focal image.
Step 5 – Create the Tropical Flowers
Using the Tropical Hibiscus Flowers Die, I cut the flowers and foliage from white cardstock. Blend Distress Inks onto the die cuts to add vibrant tropical color and dimension.
Step 6 – Color the Flamingo
Stamp the adorable flamingo from the Feathered Friends Stamp Set onto white cardstock. Color the image with your favorite Copic markers then die cut it using the coordinating die.
Step 7 – Assemble the Card
Arrange the flamingo and hibiscus flowers on the jungle frame until you're happy with the layout. Adhere everything into place, using foam adhesive where desired to create extra depth. Finish by adding your sentiment.
Everything is now in place! I love how the sunny background, layered jungle frame, vibrant hibiscus flowers, and sweet flamingo come together to create a bright tropical design that's perfect for sending a little sunshine.
