Hello crafty friends!
I am back with another Sketchy Sunday with fun products from Kat Scrappiness. Today I used the Leaf Pile Critters stamp set for the focal point of my scene.

Card Details:
- Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5" (A2 size)
- Colored Panel: 4" x 5.5"
Step-by-Step Tutorial:
Step 1:
I started by trimming a piece of Kat's Color Studio Premium Smooth Bright White Cardstock to 4.25" x 5.5" in size. I then stamped the fox and hedgehog from the Leaf Pile Critters onto my panel using black ink.

Step 2:
Next, I created a mask for the hedgehog using a sticky note. I fussy cut around the bottom portion of the hedgehog and used repositionable tape to stick the mask in place. You could use your favorite masking paper/technique at this point.

Step 3:
Once my mask was in place, I then stamped the stump from the Woodland Critters stamp set under my hedgehog so he had something to stand on. I then removed the mask.

Step 4:
I then sketched in my scene using a pencil. I added a tree to the left, a ground line and grass tufts, and some clouds.

Step 5:
When I was satisfied with my scene, I traced over the pencil lines with a black fine line marker and erased the pencil lines.

Step 6:
It is now time to color our scene. I used Prismacolor colored pencils. Specific colors are below:
- Fox: 20% French Grey, 10% French Grey, White, Terra Cotta, Pumpkin Orange, Mineral Orange, and Goldenrod
- Hedgehog: Dark Umber, Dark Brown, Chocolate, Light Umber, and Beige Sienna
- Tree Trunk/Stump: Dark Umber, Dark Brown, and Light Umber
- Tree Leaves: Peacock Green, Grass Green, and True Green
- Grass: Dark Green, Apple Green, and Spring Green
- Clouds: Lilac, Blush Pink, and White
When I was done coloring, I trimmed the panel to 4" x 5.25" in size to clean up the edges.

Step 7:
For my sky, I was originally going to come in with blue, but with the pink and purple in the clouds, I thought it would be fun to bring those colors into the sky as well. I used mini blending brushes and Tumbled Glass, Spun Sugar, and Milled Lavender Distress Inks to add some light inking in the sky. I wasn't going to full coverage here. I just wanted some light streaks of color that blended together and brought out the color of the clouds.

Step 8:
Next, I stamped my sentiment from the Leaf Pile Critters set. It says "Hedgehugs coming your way!"

Step 9:
For the rest of my sentiment, I die cut the new Chunky Hey Shadow Sentiment die from light blue cardstock and added some shading using a mini blending brush and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. I also added some white gel pen detail. I then glued the sentiment above my stamped sentiment.

To finish the card, I glued the whole panel to a white A2 card base.
