Hello crafty friends!
I am back with another Sketchy Sunday with fun products from Kat Scrappiness. Today I used the Lola the Giraffe stamp set for my focal image.

Card Details:
- Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5" (A2 size)
- Colored Panel: 4" x 5.25"
Step-by-Step Tutorial:
Step 1:
First, I trimmed a piece of white cardstock to 4.25" x 5.5" in size. I then stamped the giraffe from the Lola the Giraffe set using black ink.

Step 2:
Next, I sketched in my scene using a pencil. I drew in a tree on the right side of the panel with a branch extending across the top. I sketched a friendly snake hanging down above the giraffe and added a ground line and shrubs.

Step 3:
When I was satisfied with my scene, I traced over my lines with a black fine line marker and erased the pencil lines. I also stamped the butterflies and sentiment from the Lola the Giraffe set. The sentiment reads "let's hang out."

Step 4:
It is now time to color the scene. I used Prismacolor colored pencils. Specific colors are below:
- Giraffe: Mineral Orange, Goldenrod, Jasmine, Sand, Dark Umber, Dark Brown, Light Umber, Black, 90% French Grey, and 70% French Grey
- Snake: Dark Green, Apple Green, Spring Green, Chartreuse, Yellow Chartreuse, Black, 90% French Grey, and 70% French Grey
- Tree Trunk: Dark Umber, Dark Brown, and Light Umber
- Shrubs: Cobalt Turquoise, Peacock Green, Grass Green, and True Green
- Butterflies: Pumpkin Orange, Orange, and Yellowed Orange

Step 5:
I trimmed the panel to 4" x 5.25" in size. I then created a mask for my giraffe (not pictured) to do some ink blending for the sky and ground. I used blending brushes and Tumbled Glass and Shabby Shutters Distress Ink to add ink to the panel. I darkened the corners/edges for the sky. To add a shadow under the giraffe, I used a mini blending brush and Mowed Lawn Distress Ink. After removing the mask, I used the dark green and apple green pencils to darken the shadows and hide any white that was showing.

To finish the card, I created an A2 card base using the new Pumpkin Spice cardstock and glued my panel flat to it.
