Why spend hours scrubbing roasting pans when you could be tucked away in your craft room creating handmade holiday smiles? This project is the ultimate inspiration for sending a little paper-crafted warmth to your friends and family this season.
This card features a beautifully constructed, multi-dimensional roasted turkey platter that looks good enough to eat. To achieve the glaze look on the turkey, I dabbed craft glue, which dries clear, all over the turkey and let it dry.
I layered the turkey elements to create realistic depth, garnishing the platter with intricately cut lemon wedges, berries, potatoes and perfectly stitched green leaves. To make the focal point pop, I anchored the entire platter onto a rich, burgundy oval mat.
The background ties the entire project together seamlessly, using a warm, leaf-patterned paper filled with oak leaves, maple leaves, and tiny acorns. A clean, simple "Happy Thanksgiving" sentiment banner balances the card beautifully at the bottom.
